Yellow Jackets Sweep; Knock Gators from Playoffs

Congratulations to the Yellow Jackets on their doubleheader sweep of the Satsuma Gators on Saturday. After a rough loss Friday night to the Gators, the Jackets bounced back with a thrilling come from behind ten to eight victory in the first game. The Jackets were trailing eight to two going into the last inning and rallied for eight runs, seven of which were scored with two outs and no one on base. Michael Radoslovich drove in the tying and go ahead runs with a two out two run single. Corey Wiggins recorded the win in relief and Bentley Evans added the save after picking off the runner at second base to end the game. In the second game the Jackets scored 3 runs in the top of the first and never looked back. Will Franklin pitched 6 strong innings to record the win and Murphy Buggs closed out the 7th in relief. Matthew Wojiecowski had three hits and five RBI’s to lead the Jackets at the plate. Tomorrow night the team takes on Fairhope at the Lip for Senior Night.
